Morris Island Lighthouse off of Folly Beach in Charleston, SC. My girlfriends and I had a house on Folly Beach and were told by the owners that from our house the lighthouse was just about 5 blocks down the road so we got up that morning and started walking, in flipflops & bathing suits/coverups intending to go to the beach afterwards, however, about 5 miles into the walk, we were none too happy with the guy and his miscalculations. We made it to this beautiful spot on the island to view the lighthouse within about an hour after walking 7 miles there and we rested for a bit. Tried to walk back but ended up flagging a police officer down to take us back and he was super nice about it. I still have scars from the blisters caused by my flip flops almost 4 weeks later!
